September 2026 Update
September brings Chat to every workspace: channels, direct messages and threads with formatting, link previews, saved and pinned messages, and a daily email when you are away. Documents get Google-style sharing with access requests, exclusions and sub-pages that follow their parent, your task board learns to select and act on many tasks at once, and staying signed in is now steadier across tabs and devices.
- Workspace Chat (Beta): A new Chats section in the sidebar for channels and direct messages with your team, with an unread count so you know when something is waiting
- Threads: Reply in a thread to keep a conversation out of the main channel, and follow threads you start or are mentioned in automatically
- Tag Your Work in Chat: Mention teammates with @ and tag tasks, docs, brands and other workspace items with #, with search that finds what you mean from a few letters of each word
- Message Formatting: Bold, italic, strikethrough, code, quotes and lists in the composer, shown properly everywhere a message appears, including forwarded, saved and pinned messages
- Message Actions: Hover or tap a message to react, save it for later, pin it to the channel, forward it, set a reminder, copy a link to it, or mark it unread
- Links and Link Previews: Add links from the composer, see a preview card under messages that share a link, and have long web addresses shown as tidy short links
- Longer Messages: Messages can now be up to 5,000 characters, with a counter that appears as you get close
- A Link for Every Conversation: Each channel and direct message has its own address, so notifications and shared links open exactly the right conversation
- Rejoin From a Link: Opening a link to a public channel you left now offers to let you rejoin it
- Channel Activity Lines: The channel timeline shows when people join, leave or are added, so you can see how a channel's membership changed
- Chat Emails When You Are Away: Unread direct messages, mentions and thread replies arrive as a single bundled email after a short delay, with a frequency setting in notification preferences and a shortcut to it from Chat
- Select Several Tasks at Once: Select tasks on the board with a corner checkbox, a modifier-click, or Select task in the card menu, and in the table view too
- Bulk Task Actions: A toolbar for your selection lets you move, assign, tag, archive or delete many tasks together, with searchable pickers you can drive from the keyboard
- Drag a Whole Selection: Dragging one selected card carries the rest of the selection with it, landing in the order you picked
- Workspace Activity in the Task Manager: See recent activity across your workspace from a panel beside your projects
- Subtask Time Estimates: Subtasks suggested by AI now carry their time estimate onto the card and into the saved task
- Calendar Week and Month Views: The calendar fills its space and switches between a week and a month span, with tasks shown as cards
- Brink Version History: Undo and redo as you build a Brink, and restore a previous version when you want to go back
- Google-Style Document Sharing: Copying a document link always works; people with access land on the doc and everyone else lands on a request-access screen, with requests arriving live for the owner
- Access That Expires: Give someone access to a document for a limited time, and see who has access through a parent page
- Exclude People From a Document: Keep specific workspace members, or people outside the workspace, from a document without switching it to an invite-only list
- Sub-pages Follow Their Parent: Sub-pages now share the same access as the page above them by default, with a per-page switch, and you can exclude chosen pages from a parent's share
- Open an Invited Document Without an Account: Someone invited to a document who does not have a Braandly account can open it with a code sent to their email
- Pages on Public Documents: Readers of a public document see the pages they can open in a sidebar, and can move between them without a reload
- Document Activity: See what has happened on a document from an Activity drawer, a Latest activity card and a panel in the editor, opened from the toolbar or the page menu
- Tab to Indent: Tab and Shift+Tab indent blocks and nest list items in documents
- Smart Typing in Documents: Smart quotes and dashes, markdown that turns into formatting as you paste or type, and the keyboard shortcuts that were missing
- Table Options: Row, column and cell options for document tables, with steady column resizing
- Search Document Text: Document search now finds matches in the body text, not just the title
- A Pages Sidebar That Fits the Doc: The pages sidebar lists your top-level documents, shows only the open document's own pages, and lets you add a page right beside the one you are on
- Reactions and Comments on Any Block: React to and comment on any block in a document, including a whole table, with the hover controls moved into the margin
- Link Bubble in Documents: Click a link in a document to open, copy, edit or remove it
- AI Writing Inserted as Previewed: Text accepted from the AI writer now lands in the document exactly as the preview shows it
- Short Links Copied by Default: Copy link now uses a document's short link when it has one
- Doc Owner Shown to Everyone: Every viewer of a document can now see who owns it
- Sharing Polish: Search for people outside the workspace in Share, invite an existing account by typing its email, and a fresh link to copy after you change sharing
- Public Document Comments: A clearer comment experience for readers of a public document, who stay on the doc after signing in
- Page Tree Limits: Documents can be nested up to three levels deep, keeping page trees easy to navigate
- A Task Manager That Fits a Phone: Long-press to drag a card on touch screens, larger touch targets, and board columns and the selection toolbar sized to fit a phone
- Steadier Board Ordering: Moving a card keeps it where you put it instead of jumping, and moves of many cards keep the order you chose
- Calendar Cards: Calendar cards now show the assignee's avatar and a priority badge, and keep two-line titles in both views
- A Calmer Chat Interface: Chat's header, channel details, modals and sidebar now match the rest of Braandly, with sticky day markers and a jump-to-recent button
- Chat on Touch Screens: Tap a message to open its toolbar on phones and tablets, and tap elsewhere to close it
- Clearer Chat States: Empty and error views in Chat now explain what is going on and what to do next
- Everyone in #general: Every member of the workspace is kept in the #general channel, which now belongs to the workspace owner
- Mention Into Public Channels: Mentioning a workspace member in a public channel now lets them see the message, and people who left a channel are notified rather than added back
- Landing in the Right Workspace: Signing in now takes you straight to your default workspace without an extra stop
- A Tidier Dashboard Start: The Workspace Structure card on the dashboard stays collapsed once you have collapsed it
- Dismissing the Assistant on Mobile: The AI assistant can now be swiped away and closed properly on phones, and the mobile top bar no longer covers content on tablets
- Unexpected Sign-outs: Fixed being signed out after network errors or other failures that had nothing to do with your session, and a sign-in redirect that could get stuck on tablets
- Social Sign-in Buttons: Fixed the Facebook sign-in button submitting the form around it
- Document Editor Crashes: Fixed a crash when opening some documents and edits being saved to the wrong page
- Document Pages: Fixed pages being created in the wrong place, the page tree falling out of sync, rename drafts being overwritten, and lists not refreshing after a change
- Document Toolbars and Menus: The floating toolbar and other popups now stay on screen, menus open in the right place, and Escape and Enter stay inside the control you are using
- Inline Code: Backticks now create inline code on keyboard layouts that use dead keys, without stray backticks being added
- Page Icons and Titles: The page icon picker opens beside the icon and toggles correctly, and long titles now wrap
- Members on Restricted Documents: Members listed on a restricted document can now open it
- Reactions Permission: Reactions are now offered only to people who are able to comment
- Mentions in Documents: Fixed mention notifications and document tag creation
- Chat Reliability: Fixed duplicated messages, unread counts on direct messages, live updates, more than one message toolbar showing at once, and an overflowing people picker
- Task Panel Menu Actions: Archive, Duplicate, Delete, Move task and Assign to brand or Brink now work from the task panel's More options menu, and a failure shows one error instead of two
- Board Selection Polish: Fixed the selection checkbox, card highlight, column contrast and toolbar position on the task board, including behind the offline banner
- Dropdown Scrolling: Dropdown lists now scroll all the way to their last option
- Calendar Layout: Fixed month rows being measured from the window instead of the calendar, and screen readers announcing "No priority" on every card
- Account Deletion: Deleting your account now signs you out everywhere
- Remember Me That Lasts: Choosing Remember me keeps you signed in for 30 days from your last visit; without it, you are signed out after a day of inactivity
- Sign Out One Device: Signing out now signs out only the device you are on, while changing your password still signs out everywhere
- Tabs Stay in Step: Your open tabs now share one session, so refreshing it in one tab no longer signs out another
- Stronger Workspace Boundaries: Further hardening ensures tasks, sections and tags can only be reached from the workspace they belong to
- Safer Document Editing: Locked, protected and trashed documents are now enforced on every way of editing them
- Safer Link Previews: Link previews are fetched safely so a shared link cannot be used to reach places it should not
- Private Documents Stay Private: Private document details no longer appear in link previews on other sites
- Faster Marketing Pages: Public pages ship less code, serve phone-sized images to phones, and show their content without waiting for scripts to load
- Recovery From Service Interruptions: Braandly now recovers on its own when a service it depends on briefly becomes unreachable
- More Reliable Email Delivery: Notification emails pause and resume cleanly when sending limits are reached instead of retrying in a loop
- Faster Document Pages: Public document pages load less up front, and table hover controls stay smooth on large tables
- Reliable Chat at Scale: Real-time chat stays in sync across all of Braandly's servers
August 2026 Update
August brings Braandly AI into the product itself: an assistant you can open anywhere, dock beside your work, and ask about your own brands, projects, tasks and plan, with every answer showing what it looked at. Your task board gains AI too, turning a brief into a plan, drafting descriptions and subtasks, flagging duplicates and writing project status summaries, while brand voice now shapes everything Braandly writes for you.
July 2026 Update
July turns the document editor into a full writing workspace with suggesting mode, math, diagrams, embeds, an outline pane and AI actions on any selection, and adds clear plan usage meters, account-level notification preferences, rebuilt image tools with HEIC support, and far more reliable team invitations.
June 2026 Update
June opens Braandly up to developers and AI assistants with a public API, an interactive developer portal, and a hosted MCP server you connect with a single secure sign-in, alongside a read-only guest client portal, comments on projects, public brand docs, and code blocks in tasks, plus automatic task status updates when you move cards, more reliable AI generation, a steadier task editor, and a range of fixes and security improvements.
May 2026 Update
May adds profile picture customization, image compression and conversion tools that hand off to each other, automatic image optimization on upload, importing colors straight from an image, and a new help center with article feedback, alongside a more reliable document editor, a fix for phone number dial codes, the ability to set a password for Google sign-ups, stronger password rules, and security updates across the app and backend.
April 2026 Update
April brings document access requests with denial notifications, a real-time notifications center, smarter subscription plan changes with upgrade and downgrade flows, project search, currency formatting in payments, blog engagement features including claps and RSS, refreshed transactional emails, and broad SEO and link-preview improvements across the product.
March 2026 Update
March delivers powerful new task views with calendar, table, and board layouts, a workspace productivity stats panel with charts and trend tracking, customizable dashboards, deep document linking, real-time multi-user collaboration, and an in-app What's New system.
February 2026 Update
February was our biggest release yet with the launch of Docs, AI text generation, automated task email notifications, and a major brand generation overhaul. Create collaborative documents, generate content with AI, and stay on top of tasks with automated reminders.
January 2026 Update
This month focused on security hardening, Brink customization, and developer infrastructure. From account lockout protection and session sync to 8 new background patterns and expanded embed support, Braandly is now more secure, more customizable, and more reliable.
December 2025 Update
This release was all about the foundation: strengthening workflows, polishing task and admin experiences, expanding accessibility tooling, and preparing Braandly for more scalable collaboration and brand management features.
